Models

Parakeet Ultra by default: 25 languages, very fast, even with 8 GB. A more powerful Mac can use Whisper Large v3. The setup picks for you.

Install

  1. Open Plume.dmg and drag Plume into Applications.
  2. Open Plume. macOS blocks it the first time: go to System Settings, Privacy & Security, and click “Open Anyway”.
  3. Allow the microphone and accessibility. The setup guides you and downloads the voice model.

Why the warning? Plume isn't signed with a paid Apple developer account. The code is public on GitHub.
